Arianna + Mark

So this is a long overdue post that I have been meaning to write for a while now.

During all the end of the year craziness, I was also hit with the reality that my beautiful co-worker and friend is really moving away to start a new adventure in St. Louis.

Arianna, it has been an honor getting to know you and working with you over the past two years. I honestly would not have made it through my first year at ACM without you. Thank you for all of the advice, laughs, love notes, and memories. I am so lucky to call you my friend. :)

I am sad that I won't get to see you every day at work but I am so excited for you and Mark.

This is going to be an incredible married life adventure and I know you are going to love it.

When things get tough and you are missing the familiar Texas life, just remember that we love you and we are only a phone call away. :)

School's out for Summer!

Wow, I did not post a single thing in June. I'm sure you all have been anxiously awaiting my return to the blogosphere. :)

The end of the school year was completely crazy. In the midst of wrapping things up and packing up for summer, I was also prepping to take on an additional month of teaching with 3rd grade summer school.

Goodbye classroom...

Hello classroom?

Teaching summer school was definitely an experience. It was my first year and we had a whole new curriculum. Not only that but I was teaching 3rd grade and it was not at my home school. It was a really interesting opportunity to get to know other people in the district especially because you're all thrown together with new kids, new administrators, and new surroundings. My kids were really sweet and I met so many amazing people. I am excited to keep in touch and see how things are going in the next school year. :)

Summer School Snapshots!

My favorite part had to be the last two days because the kids got to create projects based on our non fiction texts and prosody theatre scripts.

Now I'm off to finally enjoy my summer break! Happy Friday!
